The Costa Vista Restoration Project is located in the city of Chula Vista, California, south of the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge and east of the San Diego Bay. The restoration project is mitigation for the development of the Costa Vista RV Park Project. It encompasses approximately 13 acres, primarily maritime succulent scrub habitat (12.72 acres), and 0.60 acre of brackish marsh habitat for post-retention stormwater. A temporary aboveground irrigation system was designed, installed, and maintained by RECON. Over 34,000 container plants were installed. Various sensitive plant species were included in plant palette such as Euphorbia misera, Bergerocactus emoryi, and Isocoma menziesii var. decumbens.
